Over the last few years, I have suffered from dreadful constipation, and used to self-medicate with laxatives. When this stopped being successful, I brought suppositories into the mix and then I would be able to pass a bowel movement almost instantly. I would become irritable and felt poisoned by the contents of my bowel. My GP referred me to a specialist and I started taking prescription laxatives and Lactulose but I suffered hugely embarrassing flatulence on a daily basis. Additionally, I would still often have to take additional laxatives and use suppositories. The specialist recommended Movicol as well and to see a physiotherapist who, in addition to teaching me pelvic floor exercises, suggested I try Qufora Irrisedo.
I will admit that it took a little getting used to and I continued in the belief that my quick fixes worked. However, I become concerned by the violent effects laxatives and suppositories were having on my body, and hated the embarrassing flatulence caused by the Lactulose. Now, some 3 months on, I use it every day and miss it if I don’t. The first thing I now do every morning upon waking is to start running the hot tap in the bathroom, I then make a cup of tea, and settle down on the loo with my tea and a book. Job done (if you’ll excuse the pun!).
I realised that if I can get up early to go to the gym, I just needed to get up a little bit earlier to get my bowels sorted for the day. It really is a habit worth getting in to, and I know that my bowel function is slowly improving. I no longer suffer bloating, wind or feel poisoned by full bowels. I would thoroughly recommend Qufora Irrisedo to anyone thinking about it.
